As Thaksin, our 98 year old driver has retired (complaining about his legs aching), taken the Rickshaw and the two bicycles, we were forced to purchase a limousine to collect our guests from the airport on arrival. So we will be there to greet you and when it's time to go, a free lift back as well. Or if you prefer, the 15 km walk from the airport with your bags will do you the world of good.
Every well meaning Resort must have a Gym. Baan Sijan is no exception. Now this is not Olds
but a very well equipped leisure exercise center gym. A running machine, exercise bike, (rumoured to be wired to a generator) free weights and a very comprehensive multi- nautilus are all you will require to lie to friends that you went to the gym everyday. A three man kayak can be hired for those wanting to try their hand in the very safe local waters. Paddles are included just ensure they are not being used for the table tennis.
For those of you that fancy themselves as authors, threatening my lively-hood into the bargain, Internet facilities including ADSL wireless are on hand. So if you feel that you must take the lap-top to report everyday to the folks back home how much you are missing them (liar) then do so. For those still living in the twentieth century, a fax and printer. Paper and a pen on request (lick your own stamps).
Match of the Day
If you can't do without match of the day
, are sad enough to want to watch the Aussies thrash England at cricket or need to keep up with the news, a 42 inch plasma screen TV with all your favourite channels, fabulously comfortable sofas and arm chairs located in, wait for it... the TV lounge.
We endeavour to meet your requests within reason. Please feel free to ask. Whatever tickles your fancy!
